Builders vs reviewers

A builder generates a resume from scratch. You feed it your job title and some details, it produces paragraphs. The risk is obvious: it fills gaps with plausible-sounding content you didn't actually do. A generated achievement like "improved efficiency 40%" lands you in an interview you can't back up.

A reviewer starts from your real resume. It reads the document, parses it, and tells you what's weak and what's missing. It doesn't invent experience. It points at the experience you have and says which parts aren't pulling their weight.

For most job seekers the reviewer is the more useful tool. Your problem usually isn't that you have nothing to write about. It's that your resume parses badly, uses the wrong words, or buries the good stuff in weak bullets.

• Parsing. Can a machine pull your name, dates, skills, and titles out of the file?
• Matching. Does your resume speak the language of the job description?

That last one is where honest tools separate from the rest. A tool that adds a skill you don't have is not helping you. A tool that flags "this job asks for Docker, and Docker isn't in your resume, so add it only if you actually use it" is doing the job right.
